BOSTON FLOWER DISTRICT UPDATE

It’s been five months since Quinlan Wasserman moved into Jacobson’s location at 500 Albany Street in Boston’s South End. A lot of exciting things have happened over that time, and we have more planned for the future. With these new developments in mind, we wanted to share an update with you on The Boston Flower District at Jacobson.

Since opening in March as a one-stop shopping experience, the sales and traffic for Quinlan Wasserman and Jacobson have exceeded expectations. As a result, both companies have been focused on hiring and growth, with four additional sales associates joining Quinlan Wasserman and two more at Jacobson.

We have received positive feedback from you, our customers, as well. Here are just some of the reasons customers have cited for frequenting 500 Albany Street:

  • Accessibility to our location from the Expressway and the Airport.
  • Ease of loading products into their vehicles.
  • The walk-in cooler at Quinlan Wasserman provides customers with the quality fresh product they’re shopping for.
  • The expanded number of sources that Quinlan Wasserman has added, both on the plant and fresh flower side to provide incredible variety.
  • Jacobson’s unrivaled variety of product, and the knowledge that your supply needs can be met at one location.

We are also working with the city of Boston and our neighbors to address current and future transportation improvements for the area. This has included collaboration with Boston’s Planning and Development Agency (BPDA), the Boston Transportation Dept, the Abbey Group, Leggett Properties, Boston University, and the Boston Medical Center. As a result, soon you will see an additional entrance/exit to our complex at the far end of Jacobson’s property. This point of entry will also have a traffic light which will make coming and going that much easier.

We have had wholesalers contact us to see if we would be able to accommodate them into The Boston Flower District. We evaluate each and every one of these prospects with your shopping experience in mind.

This has been a very exciting time for all of us in The Boston Flower District on Albany Street and we truly believe that the best is yet to come. We are committed to this location with the goal of continued improvement to build on our one-stop shopping destination in order to meet your needs.

Thank you for your business and patronage and we look forward to continuing to serve you here in Boston for the years to come.
